Research for a book I’m working on began in earnest today with a visit to a cattle auction here in Trenton Tennessee. A very mooooving experience!
Took some time off writing today to have tea with the queen. A pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
Tom and I bought a car yesterday in Jackson Tennessee. We needed an automatic since I cannot handle a standard. Greg Wood from WNWS talk radio, a local station, was broadcasting from the dealership when we were there. The salesman told him I was an author. He decided an interview was in order. We had a delightful chat about my mystery series, the Amy Lynch Investigations, and my upcoming new release, Deadly Diamonds. Such fun!
Here is the cover for my upcoming book. The manuscript went to the publisher yesterday. Look for Deadly Diamonds this summer.
It took a lot more than a Band-Aid or two, but my fractured skull and injured brain are nearly healed! I am happy to say I am now able to begin writing again. Look for Deadly Diamonds sometime late Spring 2021l
Today the doctor told me the residual effects from my concussion – lack of balance, issues concentrating, etc. – may be with me for months. Football players seem to heal a lot more quickly. I’m wondering if I should have become a football player rather than an author!
Kirkus Reviews has recently commented on my upcoming book Direct Elimination. They say: “It’s a story that has a tragic beginning and a bittersweet ending. Leave it to Norton, who spent her entire career in the insurance industry, to make investigating claims seem exciting, a formidable task … This fast-moving mystery injects thrills and sizzle into claims settlement.” Direct Elimination will be available June first.
